It's a rare thing to write. Some say they have not time or patience or down right interest to pen down a few thoughts that come to mind. I beg to differ though. One should not write just to express themselves, instead it helps you maintain a track of your thought process and overall ability to convey ideas/thoughts. Maintaining a diary definitely comes very close in the sense that you actually get to write how your day was, etc., Writing however goes a step beyond that. As nice it maybe to keep a track of one's thoughts, it's also very important to note how expressive you were earlier. When I read my first blog post, to this day I burst into laughter as to how naive I was in terms of conveying my thoughts. Today, I could articulate those thoughts so much better and this definitely boosts my confidence. It helps me realise that I'm headed in the right track. I normally refrain from discussions that rarely add any value or are sure to be going nowhere since they've occupied the minds of some great thinkers of the human era. My take is that we should focus more on things that matter to ourselves and people around us rather than wander places without getting any work done. This restrain that we enforce upon ourselves is hard to contain when you consider that an average newspaper in this modern age contains more information than a period journal of the 1700s. They are after all figments of imagination of some guy who’s probably had enough of this world, wanting to expand his horizons or just expose his frustrations at things that comes up with these larger than life characters. Many know it’s not possible but few want the drama that superheroes provide. Like many things around us, even this beautiful art of expressing one’s creativity eventually turns into an industry by itself, thereby creating groups, fan clubs, comic cons etc., But let’s not get into that today. In the world of technology, green is definitely the new black. We're green on IM clients, social networks, work place, heck we even joke around saying the green dot on a toothpaste shows it's online. With this level of connectivity, time is definitely becoming a luxury, it’s quintessential that we ensure where to spend it, on whom to spend and what to do once you’re out of it. As times change, brought up of kids has also changed significantly. Even before they can come to terms with school, etc., they are put into a plethora of activities. Sometimes they like the diversity and find their interests while others are not as fortunate and take their own sweet time to understand what excites them. Parents constantly tell them that money is an important part of life and we should have enough to ensure a 'secure' future for not just us, but the generations to come. In this super competitive environment, they miss out on a lot of things like knowing what it's like to play silly games, breaking window panes of your neighbor!
