Nostalgia

In high school, we had elaborate studies of the Egyptian civilization. I had a natural inclination towards the topics and used to do a lot of ground work before attending classes. There is something about the Egyptian civilization that fascinates me. Their practices and belief in life after death never stop to amaze me. Not to mention their complex architecture, extraordinary knowledge in the field of science. I know people say that better planned and self sufficient civilizations existed. To me though, they were the better one's. Don't worry this post is not a history lesson and I will not go into details about the Pharaohs and their accomplishments. I watched a television show today about the wonders of Egypt and was reminded of those incidents. The endless arguments with our teacher, the immense amount of preparation, our thirst for knowledge, spellbinding shows about the ancient Egyptians on NGC, the lot. It has given me a sense of euphoria, something I have not had for a r...

Makover ;-)

"The blog has YOU written all over it" is what a friend told me when asked about my blog. What she was trying to say is it was very boring and dull. I'll post something in the next couple of days, however I thought of including a small signature of sort at the end of each post. An example is presented here (addition and deletion of items at my discretion!!) HAPPENING SONG : N.I.B(Album: We sold our soul for rock and roll, Artist: Black Sabbath) CURRENT BOOK : Title : Sherlock Holmes, Author: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Just thought it would make things more interesting. As always, your comments and suggestions about this change and additions are welcome. Thank you for your time. A Bientot (see ya soon in french)!!

HAVE IMAGINATION PEOPLE!! . A friend of mine had suggested we do a 70's, the rock 'n' roll day. Good, this is what we should be doing...Think Hatke!! Having said that, things will always be conventional (and boring, mind you) and I see no reason to comment further. If you had read my previous post, you might remember me mentioning about a fest, Nexus-09 . It's our very own department fest, open only to the students of our college. It may seem like a small event, but trust me there is more to it than meets the eye. The "TO DO" list seems endless and none of the right boxes are crossed. I was appointed...
