Nexus-09 (& Ethnic Day-09)
The idea of wearing so called "ethnic" clothes and posing all day for photos doesn't excite me. However, to be in the spirit of celebration, I was forced to do it. You might be wondering I've completely lost my mind (because as I know everyone loves ethnic days in their colleges). But please stay with me. Deja Vu would explain my point perfectly. HAVE IMAGINATION PEOPLE!! . A friend of mine had suggested we do a 70's, the rock 'n' roll day. Good, this is what we should be doing...Think Hatke!! Having said that, things will always be conventional (and boring, mind you) and I see no reason to comment further.
If you had read my previous post, you might remember me mentioning about a fest, Nexus-09. It's our very own department fest, open only to the students of our college. It may seem like a small event, but trust me there is more to it than meets the eye. The "TO DO" list seems endless and none of the right boxes are crossed. I was appointed the coordinator for the Dumb Charades event and was told to give a music programme. For those of you who do not know, I play guitar. Two events and lot of loose ends to tie-up, we all had our work cut out. The inauguration was the most vital part of the event and required planning of the minutest of details. That hour was probably the most intense experienced by many involved. A sigh of relief after that and off to the events. The coordinators did the job on hand and there we had it, Nexus-09 was a success. I can’t say things went on smoothly, it would be unfair. We all had our share of arguments (guess I had the highest!!). There were however lots of things learnt from this, teamwork, planning, unity are a few worth mentioning. I have added a picture of the banner used for the fest. Hope you like it.
I am struggling to find a suitable ending, so let me keep it simple…until next time!!
