Caught the i

The past two months have been very tiring. College events, exams(which got over on 4th July), what not. I am just giving excuses for not posting anything. Anyway, now that I'm done with all of them, it's time to get back to my beloved blog.
Since my last post a while ago, an extremely significant event took place. On 4th of June, we got ourselves a new car!! A Hyundai i10. I know it wont sound like a big deal to many but it was a momentous occasion in my life. You see, in the advert, Sharukh Khan says, "Catch the i" and now that we have, the title "Caught the i" would be fitting!!
For a month though, we could not go anywhere. Reason? Well, exams. So, since the start of my vacation, we have travelled out of the state and been to Mysore.
The first visit was to Lepkshi. It's near Andhra Pradesh border, about 130km from Bangalore. Now, getting there is nothing to write about. However, the place is a sensation. Spellbinding architecture and highly advanced engineering come together in a way I've rarely seen. And of course, like all places of sanctity, there is the legend which says the goddess Sita set foot here. To believe it or not is left to your judgment.
The big event though, happened yesterday. After numerous failure of plans to visit Himavad Gopalaswamy Temple near Mysore, we had sort of given up all hopes. However, on saturday night, all of a sudden we decided enough is enough. So, we set off at 5:30 am yesterday and to be honest I was all pumped up to drive. Getting to Mysore am sure as you all know, is a breeze. The journey further isn't. In fact it's worse then hopeless. All right enough cribbing, let's just get to the place. To describe the views, climate and the sensation, one has to dig deep into the dictionary just to find superlatives . In one word, it's "awesome". If you have a list of "must-see" places, please add this to it. Unexpected rains, freezing temperatures, sheer cliffs and driving amidst cattle(Oh ya!!) are things I'll never forget.
I managed to get a few shots from the temple in my mobile phone but they don't justify the spectacle. Pay a visit, am sure you'll be amazed. Coming to the car, it was great!! Definitely looking forward to more and more such drives.
