The day that wasn't

I have mentioned many times that I have taken up CAT this year. It was on September 12th. To be brutally honest, I had not expected the registration process to be trouble free and well integrated. Turned out I was wrong, by a long shot! It was a breeze and easier than standing in long queues to submit applications. (Some more streamlining is required during sale of vouchers. However, given that it is the first time CAT has gone online, this is acceptable.) I was so impressed that I even thought of writing about it in my blog. Guess I just could not put things together then. But don't get too carried away, this is not a Bollywood flick where everything ends up fine and everyone's happy.

Yesterday, I casually opened my application and admit card and boy was I in for a shock! The details of my name were not matching with those in my high school graduation certificate. The only thought that came across was "Write a mail to Prometric!". And that's exactly what I did. In the heat of the moment, I even informed my coaching center and requested their help in this regard. Although I very much doubt that they can be of any help, guess it's worth a try. I am still awaiting a reply from the authorities. Fingers crossed!!

Lastly, there has not been much activity in my blog as I have been very busy with many seminars and (more so because of) CAT. No, these small glitches are not going to stop me from posting here, they may just reduce the frequency. Adios!

Well, there's good news everyone. I received a mail from the IIM authorities that the details regarding my name are acceptable. Which means no more problems for CAT!! Hurrah!!

Ok, so this was a long time in the making.  One of the suggestions I got to keep fit was to start running everyday, or at least 4 times a week. It did not necessarily mean I had to torture myself or even blame myself for skipping a day or two. How Hard is it to Apple, Apple?

As someone who is curious about success stories, I laud Apple for their comeback in the computing world with the iPhone. Before you dismiss the article as a fanboy Writeup, my two cents would be to give it a read.
