Timeless Steel

I guess it's a very nice feeling to be considered a role model, knowing  that there are people who look up to you and acknowledge your achievements,  admire them. But put yourself in their shoes for a minute. Every instance is put under the scanner once you attain this status. You really ought to  be aware of what you're doing. A sport for me means pushing the boundaries of physical and mental  strengths to great heights. As commoners we never do that I suppose. Sure  we all face challenges of our own everyday, be it as a doctor, soldier, IT Joe etc., But in a nation like ours, where cricket has been THE sport for  over a decade, it's very hard to find a complete man. One who can be  ruthless to his competitors, yet find solace once outside the field. A Burst of Patriotism

While writers go on record saying that blogging is a way of ruining the art of writing and are contributing to the deterioration of English, I care little about such statements. Not everyone is gifted enough to come up with novels or has the luxury to take time off and write their minds. Unlike most of my posts, there is no prologue to this. It's been roughly a week since we celebrated our independence after a slew of ruthless invasions and colonization of this amazing country, my motherland. Many of the scenarios I come across these days tend to throw light on how the western world seems to be more "Advanced" and "Civilized" while we are plummeting to depths, succumbing to poverty and corruption. Some might be of the opinion that we were fit to be ruled. Well, I'm sorry, no one is taking our own country away from us. Or are they?
