Importance of Writing

It's a rare thing to write. Some say they have not time or patience or down right interest to pen down a few thoughts that come to mind. I beg to differ though. One should not write just to express themselves, instead it helps you maintain a track of your thought process and overall ability to convey ideas/thoughts. Maintaining a diary definitely comes very close in the sense that you actually get to write how your day was, etc., Writing however goes a step beyond that. As nice it maybe to keep a track of one's thoughts, it's also very important to note how expressive you were earlier. When I read my first blog post, to this day I burst into laughter as to how naive I was in terms of conveying my thoughts. Today, I could articulate those thoughts so much better and this definitely boosts my confidence. It helps me realise that I'm headed in the right track. Chowchow bath

As am sure you know, chowchow bath is used to represent a mixture of events/stories which might not be related to one another. This post is similar to that. There are lots of things for me to mention, which I shall try to cram in here. First though, wish you all a very happy new year. If what the movie 2012 is to go by, then we have just about 2 more years to look forward to!! Still this is what happened in the new year so far. Soon after my exams got over, we(read parents and me) headed to Talkad. As is the case with most of our temples, there is a lot of heritage and tradition tagged to the place. The best part of the trip was that we were accompanied by a localite, who eventually became a very good friend at the end of the day. Live to Relive

The last few years have been a bit of a roller coaster ride for me. While I would prefer my bike to explore what this vast and beautiful country has to offer, I do understand that after repeated accidents, it's better to at least travel rather than curl up and hope for a quick recovery. In my previous travelogue I thought I was less than adventurous considering that I had the luxury of a roof, air conditioning and some gadgetry to get me around the western ghats. This time around, I was pampered to the maximum as I flew all the way to Mumbai, sat in very uneventful taxi rides and reached the comfort of home with little to no stress. However, learning comes to those who go looking for it and I guess we can always find something we can ponder over, rather than whine about missing how we get there.
